Poly pellets fill for slushie, crunchy slime or–as slimers call it–“fishbowl slime” is a popular ingredient for slime. The clear and transparent beads makes slime highly reflective and shiny. Poly pellets are weighted beads that are commonly used for stuffing bean bags or stuffed animals. The smooth edges and oval contour have a pleasant massaging sensation when you run fishbowl slime through your fingers. Since it is weighted, it can also provide some structure to the slime so that your creation can somewhat maintain a desired shape. While they are a bit bulky, poly pellets are easier to integrate into slime than round glass beads.

Sunny Orange Slime Pigment Powder

I normally hate the color orange, and the only reason why I got this was because I was going to mix it with a few things and experiment. But, all on it’s own, this color is lovely! Like shiny Navel oranges, or a sunset. Needless to say, I haven’t mixed it with anything else. 🙂

This happens to be one of the cheapest ways to make your slime. You can make a batch of slime then once you have it already prepared, you can add some rock salt in it to make it crunchy. You can either use the naturally occurring rock salt or you could go for the colored ones. Colored rock salt creates beautiful, highly reflective slimes that you will have fun squishing. It makes for an amazing sensory activity and works as a perfect seasonal science.
